Introduction

Are you passionate about Backup, Storage, Data Protection, and Business Continuity in a dynamic environment? Then you have come to the right place. We are looking for an engaged Product Owner to drive our diverse backup and storage products. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic direction and continuous development of both existing and new services for Swiss Post, working closely with our Backup & Storage Engineering Operations (EngOps) teams.

 

How you make a difference

  • As a Product Owner, you actively contribute to an agile Scrum team operating within the SAFe framework.
  • You are responsible for the product roadmaps, budgets, and the long-term direction of the Backup & Storage product portfolio.
  • You drive strategic transformation initiatives and take ownership of the continuous evolution of backup, recovery, archiving, and storage services.
  • You shape the development of Data Protection and Storage platforms into automated, self-service-oriented service offerings by aligning product strategy, engineering capabilities, and customer needs.
  • You provide teams with the strategic direction and epics required to successfully deliver prioritized roadmap initiatives while ensuring the sustainable evolution of the solutions.
  • You proactively manage relationships with vendors and product clusters, represent the product perspective beyond your own team, and coordinate dependencies with customers and stakeholders during ART PI Planning.
  • As a functional leader, you work closely with the Scrum Master to strengthen collaboration within a hybrid team and support the professional development of team members along the transformation roadmap.

  • You bring several years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or functional leader in a demanding technology or infrastructure environment, supported by relevant qualifications.
  • You actively shape change and successfully guide organizations, hybrid teams, and customers through transformation, migration, and modernization initiatives.
  • You can translate strategic objectives into clear product strategies, roadmaps, and tangible business value for customers and the company.
  • You bring together the interests of stakeholders, business units, vendors, and delivery teams, creating sustainable solutions even in complex transformation environments.
  • A strong understanding of mission-critical platforms, services, and related security, compliance, resilience, and data protection requirements enables you to make sustainable and future-oriented decisions.
  • You are familiar with agile ways of working and collaboration within scaled organizations and know how to align teams behind common goals, support them effectively, and translate technological developments into measurable business value.
  • You stand out through entrepreneurial thinking, strong communication and interpersonal skills, analytical capabilities, and the ability to inspire people to embrace change.
  • You are fluent in English and have a strong command of at least one Swiss national language, both written and spoken.
