With parcel volumes on the rise, yard logistics are running hot – and they’re set to get even hotter. With a modernized software landscape and plenty of heavy metal on-site, we can double our storage capacity and achieve 50 percent more throughput in the same space.

High deployment frequency. Maximum stability. No nonsense. In 2025, 3,000 deployments went into production in our department. Four changes with problems. Your first reaction is “Wow!”, your second is “Why not zero?” You write clean code and want to understand why reviews, tests and observability are not just dry theory? You have an eye for detail and are looking for a team that will take you to the next level? Then you’ve come to the right place! You help us take our software landscape to the next level.

How you make a difference

  • You implement and manage high-availability, business-critical services based on the current versions of C# and .NET.
  • After thorough reviews, your code will be tested automatically by your CI/CD pipeline and deployed in the production environment on Kubernetes/AWS.
  • Your software really gets things moving: around 5,000 10-tonne containers in Swiss Post’s yards every day.
  • That is (precisely) why you’re interested in world-class engineering practices – from test strategy and observability to the deployment pipeline.
  • You are part of a DevOps team and will learn how to use tools such as Grafana, Prometheus and Splunk to proactively monitor, analyse and continuously optimize stability and performance.
  • You'll gradually build up domain knowledge and in-depth understanding of the technical requirements, enabling you to cast them in code in the best possible way.

What you have to offer

  • You have completed IT training, ideally at university level, and have professional experience in software development.
  • You have solid knowledge of C# or Java and wish to pursue further development in the field of technically sophisticated, fail-safe systems.
  • The following saying makes you smile or at least google: “There are only two hard problems in distributed systems: 2. Exactly-once delivery. 1. Guaranteed order of messages. 2. Exactly-once delivery.”
  • You are no stranger to terms such as long GC breaks, memory leaks or race conditions, and you want to learn how to solve such problems in production systematically.
  • A pull request without feedback disappoints you, and making improvements is practically a hobby for you.
  • You have a very good spoken and written command of German and English. Each additional national language is a plus.

P.S. This ad isn’t from HR, but from the team that you’ll be joining, which is currently being built up. Unfortunately, there are no unit tests here, so please forgive any errors.
