DevOps Solution Engineer E-Mobility

70–100% (or job sharing), Bern or Lausanne and home office 

Are you passionate about electromobility in the enterprise field? And do you feel at home with various technologies and hardware-related and distributed system environments? Then join us and help design innovative e-mobility solutions for the Postbus fleet, delivery and logistics fleet and the infrastructure unit. We maintain a large charging network throughout Switzerland and place a particular focus on interfaces and security. You can help us build up our new specialist area – apply now! 

How you make a difference

  • You are responsible for the Group-wide technical development of charge management systems in collaboration with Swiss Post E-Mobility Charging Solutions and external partners. 
  • You also take on the role of technical sub-project lead for the evaluation, pilot settings and procurement of future charging standards, supplier strategy and communication protocols from the vehicle to the backend. 
  • You translate requirements from the business into concrete IT specifications, ensuring the basis for implementation by the development team. 
  • You are able to implement simple configurations and initial integrations (PoC) with manufacturers and check compatibility with Swiss Post's infrastructure.  
  • In coordination with Swiss Post's IT architecture, you develop technical concepts and roadmaps for integrating new e-mobility products and ensure cybersecurity aspects are taken into account and coordinated with information security. 
  • You stay up to date with technical developments in the electromobility sector and attend relevant events. 

What you have to offer

  • You have a qualification in the IT or electronics field (from a higher technical school/University of Applied Sciences) and have experience in technical product development and in dealing with modern IT architecture (e.g. event-driven). 
  • You apply the analysis of business requirements, their implementation in IT solutions and your knowledge in requirements engineering to provide optimum support to our internal and external customers. 
  • Your cybersecurity knowledge helps you to integrate secure and future-proof solutions for our e-mobility infrastructure. 
  • You have strong methodological skills to solve complex challenges in the electromobility sector efficiently and in a targeted manner. 
  • You also have a technical understanding of charge point management systems (CPMS), communications protocols (ISO15118(-20), OCPP, OCPI, OSCP, VDV261 and VDV463), charge controllers, load management systems, CPO and eMSP systems. 
  • You have a good spoken and written command of German and English. Knowledge of French is a plus.

We offer a fair salary of between CHF 108'100 - 123'100 per year (100% employment level), depending on experience and skills. Talented people with different skills are also welcome to apply. In such cases your salary may be slightly below or above the range
